An advertisement for a wedding hall displayed in the Omokgyo Station, Line 5. The models were white which I found a little odd since 99% of the customers are Korean.

Dunkin' Donuts alive and well

A stand-up outside menu of Dunkin Donuts in Gangnam, Seoul. Dunkin may be dying in America but it's alive and well in Korea. 108 locations in Gangnam (16 sq miles). 341 in Seoul. Some 1,100 nationally. South Korea is the size of Hungary or Virginia or Indiana.

Burger King and Coffee Bean in Gangnam

A Burger King and Coffee Bean in Gangnam, Seoul. Commonly located on the 1st floor of large buildings. Also located in this building was Samsung Life Insurance, a major player in the domestic insurance market. A simple search shows 40 Burger Kings and 118 Coffee Beans in Gangnam. Gangnam is about 16 sq miles. Manhattan is 34. But actually about 1/3 of Gangnam isn't developed while the other 2/3 is ridiculously developed.

The Lotte World Tower

The Lotte World Tower is up and coming. Construction moving right along. Scheduled to be completed in 2015. Jamsil Station, Line 2 and 8.

It'll be 123 stories when finished and have the highest observation deck in the world.
